Don’t miss this Interactive Introduction to Accounting and Finance to Start and Grow Your Business in partnership with Manasota SCORE and SCORE Mentor Randy Coyner.

Randy Coyner is a Florida CPA. He did his undergraduate studies in Psychology and received his M.B.A with an Accounting specialization at the University of Miami. He joined Peat Marwick Mitchell, CPAs (now called KPMG) in their Washington, DC office where he was a Senior Auditor and Consultant. Subsequently, he joined the faculty at the University of Maryland. From Maryland he returned to the corporate world and became the Internal Audit Manager at Ryder Systems in Miami, where his responsibilities involved manufacturing, refining, logistics, food service and aviation companies. From Ryder he moved up the Florida east coast and became the f irst Director of the School of Accounting at Florida Atlantic University and also served for a period as the Acting Director of Academic Computing for all campuses of the university. After spending 35 years at Florida Atlantic University as a professor teaching financial statement analysis and fraud examination, he retired and moved from Boca Raton to Sarasota. During most of his professional career he has been a general management consultant. Most of his consulting clients were located in the Caribbean, Central and South America. He is currently serving as a member of the Independent Police Advisory Panel for the City of Sarasota and as a Certified Mentor with SCORE. He enjoys traveling and reading. To date he has been to 84 countries and is still counting.
