Souper Tuesday, Michele Mician – Sustainability and You
October 24, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Learn how sustainability can impact your bottom line. Traditionally the 3 legged stool theory of sustainability includes recognizing the important roles that environment, economy and ethics play when talking about how sustainability is incorporated into your business model. At this Souper Tuesday we will review the practicality and importance of each of these elements (the 3 E’s) and discuss how they interconnect.
Florida House Institute’s new Executive Director, Michele Mician, will be our speaker today. Michele has been practicing sustainability for over 20 years. She originated the City of Sarasota environmental management program and went on to lead City of Palm Springs, CA to become one of the most sustainable City’s in the nation. Her expertise in adding electric vehicle infrastructure, local food production and community engagement is sure to inspire!
Welcome to Souper Tuesday! Come along and ask questions and share what you know in our casual, welcoming atmosphere. Network, learn and mingle with fellow professionals from Manatee & Sarasota counties and the surrounding area all along the Innovation Coast. We feature informative and exciting events handpicked from the area’s best and brightest, all of which will propel your skills and businesses forward. You’ll learn fresh perspectives and about new innovations in technology, business, education, and more. Mark your calendar and be prepared at each session to learn new tools and tactics and arrive early for business networking opportunities.
Once a month, one of our local soup makers shares in the making of the soup we serve. Bring your own soup or lunch to eat or share at this event. There is no cost for the soup but a donation jar will be present to benefit the local non-profit, Turning Points.
