Alternative Capital for Business Growth – Network & Learn

June 14, 2016 @ 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm

Network and Learn with other Professionals at Station 2 Innovation Bradenton

Don’t miss our topic on alternative capital. Bruce Kamm is one of those out of the box creative thinkers that helps people and companies leverage their alternative capital to improve the way the way they do businesses, transact commerce, and process payments. Get here at 5 pm for our networking happy hour before our speaker event.

Alternative Capital

Just about every person and business has alternative capital that can be leveraged to reduce cash expenses or to pay for products, services, travel or advertising. It just takes some creative thinking to expand your imagination and maximize the benefits alternative capital has to offer.

Whether you can provide a service such as creative writing, blogging, web design, app development, SEO, consulting services, home repairs, landscaping, or even baby sitting, or dog walking, you can monetize your alternative capital.

Startups and new businesses typically have limited cash to get to profitability, or cash flow issues when expenses exceed sales. Using alternative capital, often in the form of an interest free loan, startups, entrepreneurs and businesses can leverage their intellectual or service capital to pay for a multitude of start-up or new business expenses.

For established businesses,  enhancing transactions with alternative capital can achieve liquidity at full value for challenged assets and excess capacity by transforming under-performing assets and underutilized capacity into new sources of revenue, and ultimately into a credit facility that is utilized towards purchasing.

For investors, alternative capital minimizes investment risk, as it enables an investor to put less cash into the deal while maintaining the same equity or debt participation. Angel investors could leverage alternative capital to provide a trade credit facility for their startups and portfolio companies to reduce cash requirement for purchasing and expenses. Using alternative capital instead of cash reduces a company’s cash requirements by replacing cash payments with partial payment in cash equivalent credit.

Alternative Capital comes in numerous transaction formats, and the possibilities are limitless. Integrating alternative capital with creative re-marketing solutions that capture full price for surplus inventory, excess capacity or under-performing assets enables companies to expand their customer base into new markets, or even to do business in countries with unstable currency.
