Speaker: David Rodriguez – Enterprise Florida Representative
David Rodriguez has over 20 years of experience in commercial lending. He obtained a Bachelor degree in Finance from the University of Puerto Rico in 1990. He started his career in business development and government guaranteed lending with the Economic Development Bank of Puerto Rico.
In 2001 he relocated to Florida after he was recruited by Banco Popular North America to lead the SBA Lending unit in Florida, helping Banco Popular rapidly become one of the top 5 SBA lenders in the US.
In 2012 David returned to his roots in business development joining Enterprise Florida as Manager of the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) program. His experience in business development and SBA lending was leveraged to design and implement this statewide program, overseeing the deployment of $97MM that provides access to capital to small and minority businesses throughout the state. To date, David and his team at Enterprise Florida have committed over $80M million in SSBCI funds, facilitating access to capital to more than 90 small businesses in Florida, and helping create or retain over 2,700 jobs.
Speaker: Emilio Santandreu –President and CEO at OUR MiroLending, LLC. He has been Chief Executive Officer and Managing Member since he co-founded the Company in October 2007.
From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Santandreu was Chief Executive Officer, stockholder and founding member of BDM (Banco de Desarrollo del Microempresario) the first bank specialized in microfinance in Venezuela.
Mr. Santandreu has also served as President for several other financial and insurance companies in Venezuela, including C.A. Seguros la Occidental (2000-2002), Sanitas Venezuela, S.A. (1998-2000) and Consalud 800 (1994-2000). President and CEO of Cremerca Sociedad Financiera, S.A., Grupo Banco Federal (1984-1993).
Member of the board of the following companies: Banco Occidental de Descuento (BOD), General de Seguros, Seguros la Federacion, Inversiones Cremerca, S.A.,Diario El Globo, Asociacion Bancaria de Venezuela and Camara de Aseguradores de Venezuela.
Mr. Santandreu holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Católica Andres Bello and a master’s degree in Business Administration from IESA Caracas. Mr. Santandreu has also been a professor of IESA and Universidad Metropolitana Business School. Actually is a student of KEISER University DBA.
