Showcase Your Design
Station 2 Innovation – Mural Contest!
Our inspiration piece – Some messages are timeless!
As part of our 2nd Anniversary celebration, we’re asking our friends in the arts community to come up with some cool designs for a mural on our building – that huge space that’s begging for decoration.
With 60,000 – 90,000 cars per day coming by the building, wouldn’t you love to have your art showcased to the whole community?
Our theme is: What was, what is, and what will be. The past, present and future of the Village of Manatee entertainment district and city of Bradenton.
Here’s what we’d like you to consider in your design:
- What was – we have a very rich history here. From the fishermen and pioneers of the early 1800’s and its place as the end of the Florida Cracker Trail. Agriculture, tourism and business.
- What is – the vibrant Bradenton Riverwalk, the Village of Manatee antiques and entertainment district, the arts and growth of the paradise we call home.
- What will be – we’d like you to use your imagination to illustrate where we are going as the Friendly City, growth of education, business and entrepreneurship.
The only real limitation is that we cannot have the Station 2 Innovation business represented in the mural – city rules. A mural is a piece of art and not a sign for a business.
The size of the wall space that’s easily viewable from SR-64 on approach is approximately 15′ high x 25′ wide (upper half of the wall). The width could go as much as 35′ – which would cover a little more than half the building from the front edge.
Please submit your concept via PDF file to Stan via email (see below) DEADLINE Extended. We will announce the winner and display the winner’s design at our Anniversary party on Thursday, January 11.
