Mr. Chris Baden, President and CEO of Trace Eye-D, a security and explosives threat detection company headquartered in Manatee County, Florida, with its lab in nearby Sarasota, will be presenting in Bradenton on his company’s evolution from research and development to success with the federal government on Tuesday, November 7th, at the Station 2 Innovation Center.
Don’t miss our Tuesday evening opportunities to Network & Learn, as well as mingle with fellow professionals from Manatee & Sarasota counties and the surrounding areas along this Innovation Coast.
Refreshments start at 5:30pm and Speaker at 6:15pm
Baden’s story is one of an entrepreneur who, working with a colleague, discovered a system to detect explosive precursor chemicals instantly through a simple open, wipe and look system (OWL). Mr. Baden enlisted the help of a support group of local innovation and consulting experts, Sara Hand of Spark Growth in Bradenton and Rob Hartwell of Hartwell Capitol Consulting in Palmetto, and the next thing he knew, he was heading to Washington DC to present his technology to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and successfully testing his technology at Tampa International Airport. “We are faced with terrorists using new, cheap homemade explosives that TSA had no answer for, and I’m convinced we now have the answer that will help save lives,” said Baden.
