City Grille Bradenton Riverwalk now open

Award-winning Sarasota based Chef Paul Mattison performed some architectural magic and brought his love of food and Italy to the heart of Bradenton’s River Walk.

Chef Mattison’s City Grille Bradenton Riverwalk is located at 101 Riverfront Blvd. Bradenton FL in the space formerly occupied by Yacht Sea Grille. Anyone who has previously been to Yacht Sea will be pleasantly surprised by the way Paul channeled his inner architect and molded a space that was at odds with it’s environment into a hip urban destination.Mattisons City Grille

The torch-lit patio offers European-style al fresco dining at its finest. A magical atmosphere including table top fire-pits, it can seat one-hundred and fifty and has a large bar for twenty-five providing plenty of options to catch-up with friends and keep an eye on the game.

The interior has been remodeled into a cozy wine bar that will transport you to the heart of Tuscany. You’re sure to find a favorite wine among the twelve casks on tap. I would recommend the Acrobat Pino Grigio for a white, and if you want to splurge and experience a true wine-gasm, go for the Smith and Hook Cabernet Sauvignon. You will not be sorry. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. For those craving some hops, craft beer is offered as well, and don’t get me started on bartender, Red’s martinis.

The Mediterranean inspired menu includes house smoked meats, inventive sushi, and a pizza oven. Don’t worry about those extra calories, you can work them off dancing to the revolving live bands that play nightly.

Beautiful foodThe young, or young at heart, can take a turn at the beanbag toss out front and remind yourself why we live in Florida.

Chef Mattison’s Italian grandmother instilled in him a love of both food and Italy. His passion shows equally in the atmosphere and the food. The restaurant has something for everyone at a price point that will have you coming back often.

Mattison’s is active in the community and strives to support local farmers and suppliers, taking advantage of Florida’s year round produce. The meats and proteins are all natural, anti-boitic and hormone free. He sources only from small family farms with pasture raised animals.Paul Mattison
